An exciting opportunity for a Nursery Practitioner has opened at a warm, welcoming nursery in Sidcup, providing exceptional care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Their team of Nursery Practitioners are passionate about helping children grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence while preparing them for a smooth transition into Reception.

Nursery Practitioner job details:

* Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 per year (DOE & qualifications)

* Hours: 40 hours per week

* Opening hours: Monday – Friday, 8am–6pm

* 51 weeks per year (with a Christmas & New Year break!)

Nursery Practitioner Main Duties:

* Deliver high-quality care and education in a fun, stimulating environment

* Plan and lead engaging activities aligned with the EYFS

* Observe, assess, and support each child’s development and milestones

* Create strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

* Encourage positive behaviour and support children’s emotional wellbeing

* Ensure children’s safety, health, and happiness at all times

* Adapt activities to suit individual learning styles and needs

* Keep your room clean, organised, and ready for exciting learning experiences

* Work closely with Senior staff and fellow Nursery Practitioners as part of a supportive team

* Take part in training, team meetings, and professional development

Nursery Practitioner requirements:

* Previous experience working in a nursery setting

* Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)

* A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable team player who loves Early Years
