Our client, a private Day Nursery and Preschool, located in Sidcup is seeking to recruit a Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join their team. Responsible to: Head of Director, Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Room Leader, and Room Leader Purpose of the job: To work as a key worker and as part of the nursery team under the direction of the Management team to provide safe, high quality education and care for young children. Hours: 40 hour week over 4 days (10 hour days) Main Duties: To assist with the planning of the Early Years Foundation Stage and to ensure that systems of observation and record keeping of your key children occurs so that childrens attainment and progress are effectively and regularly assessed; to monitor the effectiveness of assessment procedures. To help set up the playroom for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session. To act as a key worker to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/ carers and ensuring each childs needs are recognised and met and to feed this back to parents at the end of the session and three times per year at parents evening. To advise the Room Leader of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
