Job Title: Nursery Practitioner (Deputy / Room Leader) Location: Hammersmith & Fulham, West London Salary: £16 – £20 per hour (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary | Long-Term Start Date: 05/05/2026 Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial experience and/or relevant training. Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to step into a Room Leader or Deputy role within a welcoming and well-established nursery setting in West London.
This role is ideal for someone confident in leading a room or an ambitious practitioner ready to take the next step in their career. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education while supporting the wider team and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage a nursery room, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment • Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework • Monitor and record childrens development, maintaining accurate learning journeys • Support the day-to-day operations of the nursery alongside senior staff • Mentor and support junior practitioners to maintain high standards of care and education • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Requirements • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential) • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting • Experience leading a room or readiness to progress into a leadership role • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework • A proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic approach • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
