Nursery Nurse / Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Southwark, South East London
Start Date: February (after half term)
Contract: Long-term, until the end of the academic year
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, term time only
Pay: From £100 per day (PAYE) / (Equivalent of £120 per day via Umbrella)

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming and community-focused mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Southwark to recruit a dedicated Nursery Nurse / Early Years Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting after February half term.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Early Years team in a school that prides itself on excellent resources, strong leadership, and a nurturing environment for both pupils and staff.

The Role:

Supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities

Providing targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Creating a safe, stimulating, and positive learning environment

Supporting children's social, emotional, and developmental needs

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience as a Nursery Nurse or Early Years Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school setting

Have experience supporting children with SEN

Hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification (or a recognised equivalent in Early Years / Childcare) - essential

Be enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about early childhood education

Be able to work effectively as part of a team
