Nursery Manager

• Annual Salary: £150 - £200 per day
• Location: Lewisham
• Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly organised Nursery Manager to lead our vibrant early-years setting in Lewisham. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing exceptional childcare, creating a warm, nurturing environment, and driving high standards of early education.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead, inspire, and support a team of early-years practitioners to deliver outstanding childcare.
• Ensure the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and all relevant safeguarding and welfare standards.
• Oversee daily operations, including staffing, room management, planning, and parent communication.
• Maintain excellent relationships with children, parents, carers, and external agencies.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of nursery staff.
• Ensure the nursery environment is safe, engaging, and stimulating, promoting learning through play.
• Handle administrative duties such as rotas, budgets, occupancy targets, invoicing, and record keeping.
• Conduct regular observations, assessments, and audits to maintain outstanding nursery standards.
• Champion a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture within the nursery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., NVQ, CACHE).
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within an early-years setting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Passion for delivering high-quality care and early education.
• Ability to build strong relationships with families and staff teams.
