Job Title: Nuclear Materials Engineer - Submarines
Location: Derby, UK
We are seeking a Nuclear Materials Engineer to join the Core Materials team at Raynesway, Derby. The team focuses on developing materials knowledge through testing, research, and development, supporting the design and manufacture of Rolls-Royce Nuclear Plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop materials specifications for new products and processes.
- Define validation and verification requirements for manufacturing.
- Consult with manufacturing teams on process compliance and non-conformance issues.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Materials Engineering or related field.
- Understanding of nuclear materials, including fuels.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of product safety and safety substantiation.
- Experience with material degradation, corrosion, and irradiation effects.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a regulated industry.
