Overview: Working alongside our client, a leading injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a NPI Project Engineer to join their established and expanding NPI team.Benefits:Company pension matched to 5%Relocation assistance Wellbeing packagesEmployee medical schemeLife insurance Remit: As an NPI Project Engineer you will be responsible for the project management of tooling (in-house & externally) through quotation stage, sourcing, design, development and launch into the company production facility. The successful candidate MUST have proven project management experience along with injection moulding / plastics industry experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Design / NPI Project Engineer to join a successful company who put their staff at the forefront of their business.Role:In the role of NPI Project Engineer you will provide new business development project support and manage product development for new projects through to series production, ensuring adherence and completion of the APQP process.As NPI Project Engineer you will support design and tooling related activities for internal cross-functional teams to ensure NPI projects are on time, in full and on budgetLiaise with customers and third-party companies on part and tool design and development related mattersLiaise with customers on all project related matters, ensuring that project milestones are met and maintainedManage changes through Engineering change processSupport NPI & Operations process teams in completing detailed and effective DOE on new product processesWork closely with Manufacturing, Quality and Logistics teams to ensure effective new product launchesAct as a liaison between different departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration to align teams towards common project goalsMaintain required records for your NPI activities timing plans, trackers, status reports etcProvide fringe design and technical support for the Operations team as necessaryTravel overseas and within the U.K progressing Projects to ensure on time and best quality delivery.Protect the business from risk through Design for Manufacture studies.Support the Process Owner in maintaining departmental procedures to satisfy IATF 16949 and ISO14001 standards.Actively engage and support the development of a Continuous Improvement culture, by actively seeking to propose CI ideas.Experience RequirementMinimum HNC (or equivalent) in EngineeringProject management experience including customer facing activitiesInjection moulding / plastics manufacturing knowledge Knowledge of injection moulding and plastic welding processesKnowledge of polymer materialsExperience interpreting 2D and 3D CADPersonable with an ability to build close relationships at all levels both including customer and suppliers A driving license is essential along with be willing to travel overseas and within the UKAutomotive programme management DesirableAutomotive industry and IATF16949 procedure knowledge DesirableMould tool and component design - Desirable Key Words: Project Engineer, NPI Project Engineer, NPI Engineer, Process Engineer, Plastic Manufacturing, Injection Moulding, Plastics, Engineering, AutomotiveFOOTERDue to the sheer volume of applications we receive we will only contact successful applications that meet the requirements of our client job brief.
