The primary objective of this role is to ensure the seamless, day to day operations of the Transport and Goods Dispatch functions within the Catering department, overseeing all aspects to maintain efficiency and timely service.

Main responsibilities are:

Organize, oversee and manage vehicle dispatch – Ensure the efficient coordinating and loading of vehicles, with a focus on prioritizing routes and managing workload to guarantee timely deliveries. Team Leadership and Management – Provide day to day leadership of drivers and the night dispatch team operating out of the Irlam depot. This includes managing staff rotas, overseeing holidays, and conducting team training and development.  Additional responsibilities include building team cohesion and handling disciplinary actions when necessary to maintain high operational standards.
