Night Veterinary Surgeon (OOH) – Independent 24-Hour Hospital

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, RCVS-recognised hospital that has developed into a true centre of excellence. You’ll be part of a supportive and highly skilled night team, working in a hospital environment that genuinely invests in both its people and facilities.

  • Full-time role: 7 nights on, 14 nights off
  • Shift pattern: 7:15pm – 7:30am
  • Work within a dedicated and experienced OOH team
  • Exposure to a varied and interesting emergency and critical care caseload

  • Advanced diagnostic imaging including CT scanner
  • Rigid and flexible endoscopy

The hospital provides a wide range of services including:

  • Emergency and critical care
  • Neurosurgery and orthopaedics
  • Minimally invasive surgery
  • Stem cell therapy and chemotherapy

The team includes a strong mix of experienced vets, registered veterinary nurses, and dedicated support staff, creating a collaborative and highly supportive working environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality emergency and inpatient care overnight, working cases up to a high standard and ensuring continuity of care.

This role would suit a vet who:

  • Is confident (or developing confidence) in ECC work
  • Enjoys a varied caseload
  • Thrives in a team-oriented hospital environment
  • Is passionate about delivering excellent clinical care
