This is a brilliant opportunity for anewly qualified Private Family Solicitor to join a highly respected family law team in Leeds with deep roots in the local market and an outstanding reputation for both client care and staff retention. Who we’re looking for
Newly Qualified in private family law Experience assisting on private family law matters A genuine interest in divorce, finances and private children work Enthusiasm for business development and building contacts Experience running own files Advocacy experience or willingness to develop advocacy skills (Desired) Friendly, empathetic and emotionally intelligent Resilient, solution-focused and collaborative Passionate about building a long-term career in family law
What you’ll be doing
Handling and assisting on private family law matters, including divorce and financial remedy work Advising on private children matters and parental responsibility issues Supporting on pre- and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation matters Working on injunctions and domestic abuse-related cases Gaining exposure to international family law matters Drafting agreements, court documents and Declarations of Trust Attending court and developing advocacy skills over time Gradually building your own caseload with work provided by the team Getting involved in business development to help grow the team’s profile
