Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Year 3)

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Newcastle area for the remainder of the summer term. This role will primarily involve supporting a Year 3 class, working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
There is strong potential for this position to be extended into the new academic year for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide general classroom support within a Year 3 setting
Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
Offer targeted 1:1 support to pupils where required
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working in a primary school setting (desirable)
A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
