Deploy, maintain, and optimise network and security platforms including routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS and cloud technologies. Manage Cisco‑based network security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, NAC) to ensure reliability and performance. Monitor network traffic to maintain efficiency and troubleshoot issues. Implement secure remote access and VPN solutions. Lead PKI management, including certificate issuance and revocation. Recommend and deploy network and security improvements. Develop technical specifications, rollout plans and provide BAU support. Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity teams and third‑party vendors to optimise systems and enforce security policies.
Qualifications
Proven experience deploying, administering and maintaining network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless solutions and firewalls. Strong familiarity with IDS/IPS technologies to protect networks from threats. Ability to manage security protocols, ensuring encryption and access control across networks. Experience monitoring network traffic to optimise performance and reduce bottlenecks. Skilled in managing network security for cloud‑based applications and platforms. Hands‑on experience implementing and managing remote access and VPN solutions. High level of accuracy and attention to detail when configuring and managing security systems. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve network issues quickly. Ability to adapt in fast‑evolving environments and stay up‑to‑date with emerging network security trends. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across IT teams, management and vendors. Certifications: Cisco CCNA or CCNP, CompTIA Network+, AZ‑700 or AZ‑500. Experience with network security platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper or Fortinet. Willing to undergo background checks. Authorised to work in the United Kingdom. Able to commute to Dartford twice per month (back‑to‑back possible).
