Working alongside experienced network engineers, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to enterprise and high-frequency infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on monitoring, automation and incident response.This role offers real responsibility and the chance to contribute to the operational stability and efficiency of our core network systems – while developing skills across areas such as routing, tooling, automation and infrastructure operations.Key responsibilities of the role include:Monitoring the health and performance of the network infrastructureInvestigating and responding to alerts and live incidentsTroubleshooting hardware and software issues, in collaboration with vendorsManaging connectivity and service provider issuesHandling support tickets and change requestsAssisting with the implementation of new interconnectsImproving operational tooling using technologies such as Arista CloudVision, Prometheus and GrafanaAutomating processes with tools such as Python, Ansible, Git and JenkinsWho are we looking for?We’re looking for students with strong foundational technical knowledge and a genuine interest in network engineering. You should be studying a degree that includes a placement year and be on track to graduate in 2028.You’ll be naturally curious, comfortable solving problems and motivated to work in a fast-paced, high-performance technical environment.The ideal candidate will have:A placement year as part of a relevant degree programme, such as Computer Science, Cyber Security or NetworksAn understanding of switching and routing conceptsA structured and organised approach to workStrong communication skills and a team-first mindsetMotivation to learn new technologies and contribute meaningfully to the teamProgress toward certifications such as CCNA or Network+ is advantageous but not essentialPlease note: Due to our focus on developing future talent, this opportunity is only open to candidates graduating in 2028.
