Network Engineer - Site Resilience

Location - Remote (with occasional trip to Edinburgh as required) Duration - 6months (possible extensions) Day rate - £450 (OUTSIDE ir35) An experienced Network Engineer is required to support the design, build and ongoing operation of enterprise network infrastructure. This role sits within the Site Resilience domain and focuses on delivering resilient, secure and high-performing network services while supporting a wider transition from on-premise infrastructure towards cloud-based products. Key responsibilities Design and deliver new network infrastructure, including data centre re-location activities Install, configure and support routers, switches, firewalls and remote access devices Manage and plan data centre networking, including power distribution and best-practice design Improve network and firewall performance, efficiency and resilience Enhance the network platform through continuous, incremental improvements Maintain vulnerability management in line with internal security policies Support data centre, campus network and Wi-Fi refresh projects Provide network consultancy and technical support to other teams and projects Support disaster recovery assurance activities, ta...
