Job Description
Network Architect | London | Hybrid | MSP
Our client is looking for an experienced SD-WAN Expert to join a high-performing networking team delivering modern WAN solutions for enterprise and mid-market customers. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll design, deploy, and support secure, scalable SD-WAN environments while working closely with sales, pre-sales, and managed services teams.
If you enjoy solving complex networking challenges, advising customers, and shaping next- WAN and SASE solutions, this role offers both technical depth and strategic impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Technical Delivery
Design, deploy, and optimise SD-WAN solutions across multi-site environments
Lead SD-WAN implementations and migrations from MPLS to broadband, LTE, and 5G
Build hybrid WAN architectures tailored to customer needs
Perform network assessments and produce HLDs and LLDs
Configure and support routing, QoS, application-aware routing, and traffic steering
Integrate SD-WAN with firewalls, SASE platforms, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Troubleshoot complex WAN, routing, and application performance issues
Provide Tier-3 escalation support for managed services customers
Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement
Act as a trusted technical advisor during pre-sales engagements
Participate in customer workshops, meetings, and proof-of-concepts
Translate business requirements into technical designs and proposals
Support RFP/RFI responses and solution documentation
Present solutions to both technical and executive stakeholders
Vendor & Practice Development
Maintain deep expertise in one or more SD-WAN platforms (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, Palo Alto)
Work with vendor partners on certifications, training, and best practices
Help develop SD-WAN standards, templates, and repeatable service offerings
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge bases
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years’ experience in enterprise networking with a strong WAN focus
3+ years’ hands-on SD-WAN design and deployment experience
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs)
Solid experience with VPNs (IPsec, GRE), QoS, and application performance
Background in a VAR, MSP, or consulting environment
Ability to manage multiple customer engagements in parallel
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
