Our client is currently recruiting for a

Housing Officer

on a 3-month temporary contract,

home based

with some travel required across Dorset, and with the potential to be extended. The position is due to start in the New Year on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is

negotiable up to £23 per hour

depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Housing sector and be happy to have a basic DBS processed. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused tenancy management service, supporting customers to sustain their tenancies and resolving issues in a fair, empathetic and professional manner Manage a varied caseload including property condition concerns, hoarding cases, tenancy breaches and customer permission requests, taking appropriate action in line with policy and legislation Work directly with customers, colleagues and partner agencies to identify risks early and agree practical solutions that put customers at the centre of decision-making Carry out home visits, site inspections and local area work as required, maintaining strong connections to communities while operating within a national service model. Prepare case documentation and represent the organisation at court and formal proceedings when required, supporting enforcement action and tenancy outcome Experience required: Experience required in Social Housing Experience working with customers within housing Rewards and Benefits: Fully remote Flexible working days Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.
