RNID Near You Co-ordinator - Scottish Borders

Remote working, Scottish Borders

£24,960 pa pro rata plus excellent benefits

35 hours per week

Fixed-term contract for 7 months until 31 March 2026

Please note: The post requires travel across the Scottish Borders so living within the area is an essential requirement.

You Will Be Joining Us At An Exciting Time As We Pilot Our New RNID Near You Care Home Pilot In The Scottish Borders. As a Co-ordinator, You Will Focus And Lead On Developing And Delivering This Service Across The Scottish Borders Area Through Sessions In Care Homes To Residents, Their Visitors And Staff. We Will Be Offering

You will have responsibility for the set up and running of these sessions across the region in care home settings and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across the Scottish Borders.

You Will

You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/weekends if required. You are able to physically assist people with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.

You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.

While home based, regular travel to Care Home venues will be required.
