Astute's Nuclear team is working with Pudsey Test & Inspection Ltd, a highly respected non-destructive testing (NDT) specialist established in 1980, to recruit an NDT Technician based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Pudsey is renowned for delivering accurate, independent testing services across defence, petrochemical, oil & gas, medical, construction, nuclear, marine, and structural engineering sectors.
As an NDT Technician, you'll be integral in ensuring the integrity of critical components, working with written procedures and evaluating welding defects. You'll operate across both the Bradford workshop and client sites, supported by a company vehicle.

Responsibilities and Duties of the NDT Technician role
As the NDT Technician you will:
Perform non-destructive testing (ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, penetrant) on pipework, pressure vessels, forgings, structural steel, precision components, subsea systems, and more
Work to written procedures and interpret results
Produce clear, accurate inspection reports
Prepare and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT) documentation
Adhere to quality standards-BS, ISO, ASME, DEF STAN, client specs
Drive to client sites across the UK as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
PCN Level 2 certification (Ultrasonic )
Minimum 2 years NDT experience with ultrasonic inspection
Experience with written testing procedures and welding defect reporting
Full UK Driving Licence
Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
Salary and benefits of the NDT Technician role
Salary: £32,000-£42,000, based on experience
