Please Note: This is a Night Shift position working 4 days x 10 hours rotated between Monday – Thursday and Tuesday – Friday from 6pm – 4:30am.
The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector is responsible for performing inspection methods to evaluate and ensure the integrity of materials and components. The role involves inspecting parts and assemblies through various stages of manufacture and service using various NDT methods and techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), eddy current (ET), magnetic particle testing (MPI), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPI). You will play a key role in identifying defects ensuring compliance with design standards while supporting quality control processes. Your expertise will ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards, contributing to the overall excellence of our operations. This vital role requires critical thinking and an eye for detail.
Conduct non-destructive testing to various materials and components, evaluating test results and preparing detailed inspection reports, documenting any defects or irregularities
Ensure compliance with design standards, specifications and procedures and collaborate with design, engineering and production teams to maintain product integrity and resolve any quality-related issues
Assist in the investigation and analysis of quality issues, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
Verify the calibration of NDT equipment, ensuring compliance with internal quality procedures
Carry out equipment performance and control checks and assist in developing and improving NDT procedures and inspection criteria
Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, and corrective actions taken
Requirements
Driven by high performance: What do you need to bring to the team?
Qualified to PCN or EN4179 level 2 certification in UT and DPI minimum, or equivalent (additional certification in ET and MPI level 2 is advantageous)
Proven NDT experience in a maintenance, manufacturing or MRO environment, preferably related to automotive or aerospace industries
Strong understanding of NDT principles, methods and techniques, with strong commitment to safety and quality control
Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting quality findings and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently
Understanding of quality assurance principles and industry standards, as well as familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices
