Naval Architect Operator London


Hybrid: 12 days per month to work remotely + 1 day carry over to next month. As such typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.


Projects: Oil&Gas/ Energy Transition/ Carbon Capture / Onshore / Offshore / Hydrogen / Renewables


  • ResponsibilitiesConcept selection and design of floating structures across project phases (Basic, FEED, Detailed Design, Execution).
  • Prepare key engineering documents for EPCI ITT packages (e.g. Floater Functional Specs, Design Briefs, Scopes of Work).
  • Review tender documents, participate in clarification meetings, and perform technical evaluations.
  • Conduct hull structural, hydrodynamic (RAOs, QTFs), mooring, and stability analyses.
  • Collaborate with internal disciplines (structures, pipelines, process, mechanical, CAD) to ensure integrated design.
  • Serve as Technical Coordinator for naval aspects, interfacing with contractors and ensuring design compliance.
  • Attend coordination and technical meetings, and maintain awareness of HSEQ policies and relevant design standards.
  • ExperienceBackground in offshore Oil & Gas,
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Seakeeping and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis
  • Good understanding of Class requirements and key regulatory frameworks including IMO, SOLAS and MARPOL
