Evodia Limited is supporting a leading client in Defence with an exciting contract opportunity based in Bristol, with the flexibility of hybrid workingjust 3 days onsite each week. About the Role This contract position offers the chance to join a dedicated team responsible for certifying and developing rules for Submarine Naval Architecture. You will work on vital safety and performance standards, including Certification for Key Hazard Areas such as Manoeuvring & Control (M&C) and Stability. As a technical lead in the MSCA areas, your expertise will support R&D activities within submarine hydromechanics, ensuring the operational safety and capability of vessels. Key Responsibilities Lead and support assessment and certification of submarine stability and propulsion systems. Manage long-term R&D strategies for propulsor technology and chair the Propulsor Working Group. Perform assurance reviews into Stability Key Hazards, acting as a Naval Authority Reviewing Officer. Support the development of technical guidance and standards in submarine hydromechanics. Lead and mentor graduate Naval Architects, fostering development within the team.
