Job Description

Naval Architect Operator London

Hybrid: 12 days per month to work remotely + 1 day carry over to next month. As such typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.

Projects: Oil&Gas/ Energy Transition/ Carbon Capture / Onshore / Offshore / Hydrogen / Renewables

ResponsibilitiesConcept selection and design of floating structures across project phases (Basic, FEED, Detailed Design, Execution). Prepare key engineering documents for EPCI ITT packages (e.g. Floater Functional Specs, Design Briefs, Scopes of Work). Review tender documents, participate in clarification meetings, and perform technical evaluations. Conduct hull structural, hydrodynamic (RAOs, QTFs), mooring, and stability analyses. Collaborate with internal disciplines (structures, pipelines, process, mechanical, CAD) to ensure integrated design. Serve as Technical Coordinator for naval aspects, interfacing with contractors and ensuring design compliance. Attend coordination and technical meetings, and maintain awareness of HSEQ policies and relevant design standards. ExperienceBackground in offshore Oil & Gas, Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Working knowledge of Seakeeping and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis Good understanding of Class requirements and key regulatory frameworks including IMO, SOLAS and MARPOL
