National Sales Manager, Interventional Oncology We are seeking an experienced and dynamic National Sales Manager to lead our Interventional Oncology business across the UK & Ireland. You will lead a team of 7 sales professionals operating in both acute and community markets, ensuring strategic execution, commercial excellence, and strong customer engagement. About the Role We are seeking an experienced, results‑driven National Sales Manager to lead the Interventional Oncology business across the UK & Ireland. This pivotal role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring profitability within a portfolio of Brachytherapy solutions, Chronic and Acute drainage products, and Central Vascular Access solutions. As a key leader, you will shape strategy, foster commercial excellence, and strengthen customer relationships in both NHS and private healthcare sectors. Main Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a team of Sales Specialists, setting clear expectations and driving accountability for KPIs and revenue targets. Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and support to ensure team success. Conduct regular field visits to observe, mentor, and reinforce best practices in customer engagement and clinical support. Oversee onboarding and training programs, including shadowing in theatre and interventional radiology environments. Drive career development through structured planning, training initiatives, and performance review input. Support recruitment and resource planning to maintain a high‑performing, motivated team. Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with business priorities to deliver growth across acute and community settings. Ensure commercial excellence through accurate forecasting, budgeting, pipeline management, and tender submissions. Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), procurement bodies, and clinical stakeholders to drive product adoption. Oversee product trials, conversions, and in‑theatre support, ensuring successful implementation and improved patient outcomes.
About You
Degree‑level qualification preferred, ideally in life sciences, healthcare, or a business‑related field. Extensive experience in medical device sales with a proven track record of success in complex hospital environments; prior experience in interventional radiology is desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead and coach high‑performing sales teams, including performance management and field training. Skilled in developing and executing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability. Comfortable working in clinical environments such as theatre and interventional radiology, supporting clinicians during procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems like SFDC, with strong analytical skills for interpreting sales data. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels in both the NHS and private sectors. Highly adaptable, self‑motivated, and results‑driven, with strong time management and prioritisation abilities in fast‑paced settings. Willingness to travel extensively (50–60 % of the time) with occasional overnight stays. Ability to operate effectively within a complex, matrix organisation and maintain a sense of urgency in dynamic environments.
Salary Range £60,000 to £80,000 + bonus + benefits. Employment Details
