Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: Wellingborough
Salary: £45,000
Shifts: Days - Monday to Friday

The Role

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all plant and production equipment. You will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and continuous improvement to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on a wide range of machinery and production lines

  • Diagnose faults, repair breakdowns and implement long-term fixes

  • Work closely with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability

  • Support ongoing projects, upgrades, and installations

  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety and site standards


What We're Looking For

  • Time-served Engineer or qualified to Level 3 (NVQ / City & Guilds) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Strong experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environment

  • Confident with both mechanical and electrical systems (motors, drives, conveyors, hydraulics, PLC fault finding etc.)

  • Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement

  • Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills
