This role is ideal for an engineer with mechanical and electrical experience who is comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial environment and wants to develop their skills in a modern, process-driven facility. Youll be joining a supportive team culture where your input is valued and development is actively encouraged.This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!What youll be doingCarry out planned preventative maintenance on plant assets including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, processing vessels and digesters Diagnose and fault-find across mechanical and electrical systems Support reactive maintenance tasks and complete all relevant logs and documentation Assist with contractor and third-party asset services Contribute to continuous improvement activities to enhance reliability and efficiency Support installation and commissioning of new equipment Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety standards Hours4 on / 4 off, 12 hour shifts (rotating days and nights, 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) Claim time back in lieu for bank holidaysPayBasic salary: £55,000, rising to £57,000 after probation Overtime opportunities can bring total earnings up to £62,000 per yearSkills/Experience Required Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (mechanical or electrical) Experience within manufacturing, production, recycling, or similar industrial environments Comfortable working hands-on in industrial conditions, including at heightAbility to follow Health & Safety protocols Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Flexible approach to working hours and shift patternsBenefits 17 days holiday plus time in lieu for bank holidays Company pension scheme Sick pay Healthcare scheme Overtime available at premium rates Opportunity to develop existing skillset and progress within the company Free on-site parking EssentialAll applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided).All applicants must be commutable to Barking.
