Location: Kent Salary: £49,000 Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days) Hours: 06:00 – 18:00
The RoleWe are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in delivering effective maintenance support across your shift, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime.
The role involves both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown support across electrical and mechanical systems, contributing directly to site performance and operational KPIs.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and permit systems Support a strong safety culture and promote best practices across site Diagnose faults and implement effective repairs using sound engineering principles Carry out root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement Maintain accurate maintenance records Work closely with production teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency Key Accountabilities Promote a safe working environment with zero lost-time incidents Complete all scheduled maintenance tasks Ensure timely response to breakdowns Escalate major issues impacting production
