I'm recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business in Wigan who are looking to add a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to their site team.
This is one of those roles where you'll be properly valued, kept busy (in a good way), and trusted to get on with the job without micromanagement. If you enjoy fault-finding, keeping production moving, and leaving machines running better than you found them you'll feel right at home here.

The basics

Salary is £40,000 - £42,000 , with overtime paid on top .
Shift pattern:
06:00 - 14:00

14:00 - 22:00

22:00 - 06:00 (roughly 1 in 5)

You'll be joining a supportive engineering function in a fast-paced environment, working across reactive and planned maintenance, site equipment, and general engineering support to keep downtime to an absolute minimum.
There's also a strong people-led culture behind this role with wellbeing support, development opportunities, and a business that genuinely takes safety and standards seriously.

Must-haves (keep it simple)

HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent level experience)

Manufacturing maintenance experience (reactive + PPM)

Comfortable fault-finding and getting stuck in

Strong H&S mindset and pride in doing things properly
