This role is ideal for an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Multi Skilled Engineer / Electrical & Mechanical Engineer with strong fault-finding capability across automated production machinery , PLC-controlled systems and continuous improvement environments.

The Role Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will support site performance through reactive and planned maintenance , fault diagnosis and continuous improvement within a highly automated manufacturing environment .

Key Responsibilities Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis on automated production equipment Planned and reactive maintenance of manufacturing machinery Fault-finding on PLC-controlled and automated systems Escalation of complex breakdowns where required Accurate maintenance reporting using SAP CMMS / Computerised Maintenance Management Systems Preventative maintenance, equipment optimisation and continuous improvement activity Completion of risk assessments, permits to work and method statements Supporting site safety, quality and performance targets Skills & Experience Required Essential NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering AND Mechanical Engineering Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing or production environments Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working with automation, PLC systems and control equipment Experience using a CMMS (SAP preferred) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work safely under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing setting Desirable Skills (Highly Searched Keywords) Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Preventative / Planned Maintenance optimisation Continuous improvement or reliability engineering exposure Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments Whats On Offer Competitive salary plus annual bonus Excellent pension scheme and death in service benefit 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising with service) Ongoing technical training and engineering development Clear long-term career progression Strong work-life balance Employee xbpsjku rewards platform with retailer discounts Employee Assistance Programme (24/7 support) Cycle to work scheme Free on-site parking About the Company Our client is a responsible and future-focused manufacturing organisation with sustainability at the core of its operations .
