Job Description
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer\n\nLeicester\n\nPermanent\n\n£40,000 – £45,000 (inclusive of shift allowance)\n\nWorking Pattern\n\n12-hour shifts – 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am\n\nRotating days and nights\n\nTypical rotation:\n\nWeek 1 (Days): Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday\n\nWeek 2 (Days): Wednesday, Thursday\n\nPattern then repeats on nights\n\nProvides full 24/7 engineering coverage\n\nThe Role\n\nJoin a high-quality manufacturing site operating in a technically demanding, safety-critical environment. This role offers a strong electrical bias (approx. 60%) with mechanical support (approx.
40%), working on automated production equipment where uptime, reliability, and standards genuinely matter.\n\nYou’ll be part of a shift-based engineering team responsible for breakdowns, fault-finding, planned maintenance, and continuous improvement.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nElectrical and mechanical maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment\n\nElectrical fault-finding on motors, drives, sensors, and control systems\n\nPLC hardware and logic fault diagnosis\n\nPlanned, predictive, and reactive maintenance\n\nAccurate use of a CMMS\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives\n\nWork to strict health, safety, and quality standards\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering\n\nStrong electrical fault-finding experience in an industrial environment\n\nPLC fault-finding capability\n\nCMMS experience\n\nGood mechanical aptitude\n\nUnderstanding of variable speed drives and servo systems\n\nDesirable:\n\n18th Edition\n\nLean / Kaizen / Six Sigma exposure\n\nExperience in high-quality or regulated manufacturing\n\nWhy Apply?\n\n£40k–£45k all-in salary\n\nTechnically interesting, automated plant\n\nStable, long-term role within a global manufacturing group\n\nOpportunity to be part of a site on a genuine improvement journey
