Job Description

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - Bury St Edmunds = to £55k

Your Role

You’ll play a key part in keeping the grain operations running smoothly — maintaining, repairing, and improving equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.

What You’ll Do

Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance Troubleshoot and repair production and utility equipment Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide technical expertise to enhance productivity Support new machinery installations Keep accurate maintenance records Champion safety and continuous improvement (BOPEX)

What You Bring

Experience in industrial maintenance (e.g. grain handling, pneumatics, hydraulics) Qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering) IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous Familiarity with safety protocols (LOTO, ATEX/DSEAR, etc.) Comfortable with 12-hour continental shifts A proactive, team-oriented mindset Ability to commute or relocate to Bury St Edmunds Own basic hand tools (they provide the rest)
