Job Description
We are looking for an Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to provide breakdown and maintenance support across a range of machinery, with a strong focus on electrical systems. The role involves working shifts and ensuring maximum uptime through proactive and reactive maintenance.\n\nClient Details\n\nOur client is a well-established manufacturer committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement. They offer a modern, high-volume production environment with a strong focus on safety and reliability.\n\nDescription\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out electrical maintenance and fault-finding on injection moulding machinery and associated equipment.\nPerform planned, reactive, and predictive maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise performance.\nDiagnose electrical faults systematically and implement effective solutions, reporting via a CMMS system.\nConduct risk assessments and ensure all equipment is handed back in a safe condition.\nTrain operators on equipment setup and changeovers, maintaining accurate training records.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.Profile\n\nThe Successful Candidate\n\nApprentice-trained with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering (HNC/HND desirable).\nStrong ability to read electrical drawings and logically fault-find.\nProven experience conducting electrical maintenance on injection moulding machinery and other automated systems.\nSkilled in working with inverters, servo/DC drives, control panels, and circuits from 415V to 24VDC.\nUnderstanding of pneumatics and mechanical systems is advantageous.\nA proactive team player with excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.\nFlexible, resilient, and confident, with a commitment to health and safety standards.
