MTrec Recruitment are proudly representing our industry leading manufacturing client in their search for a multiskilled maintenance technician.

The business is in the Middlesborough area and will be looking to appoint their chosen applicant ASAP.

The Job you will do:

* Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance

* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and carry out timely repairs

* Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and production disruption

* Conduct inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used

* Follow health and safety regulations and always ensure a safe working environment

* Install, test, and commission new equipment or system upgrades

* Work with tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals to complete tasks efficiently

* Collaborate with other departments, contractors, or engineers to resolve complex issues

* Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components

About you:

* It is essential that you are a time served engineer, holding a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

* Ideally you will hold an 18th edition qualification, however this is not essential.

* You will have a robust understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

* It is essential that you can perform basic PLC fault finding.

* Flexible to work over the weekend if needed.

* Ideally you will be from a high paced manufacturing background, but this not essential
