Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer/Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Operations, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer preferably with a full range of skills including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic. Ideally from a heavy industry background, you will cooperate with existing staff to plan and carry out the maintenance requirements of the business to ensure maximum production. Established over 60 years ago and based in Gloucester Avon Metals Ltd is a highly respected manufacturer of high-grade aluminium casting alloys, master alloys and grain refining products all in accordance with internationally recognised specifications. As part of our maintenance team you will work alongside our existing engineers in carrying out routine maintenance and repairs, breakdowns and general upgrading works, in a safe and efficient manner.

* Liaise closely with our operations and production managers to ensure all plant and equipment is maintained to high standards and breakdowns are dealt with in a timely fashion. xbpsjku
*Mechanical background – FLT/Grab repairs
* Experience working with motors, conveyers, casting tracks, Hydraulics & pneumatics.
* Proven experience working in a similar role, within a fast-paced production environment
* A good understanding of costs, quantities, timescales, and contract terms for any work undertaken
* Good computer skills
* Flexible approach to working hours as operations are 24 hours a day and there will be a requirement to carry out maintenance responsibilities around production
*Hourly paid on a four-weekly cycle
* Annual bonus based upon performance and company profitability
* 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays
