Job Description: Maintenance Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing growth of our operations within the window manufacturing sector. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a range of production machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across all site machinery
Diagnose faults and perform repairs on:
Sensors, relays, and drives
Inverters
CNC machinery
Saws
Plastic welders
Blasting machines
Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering function
Work closely with the Engineering Manager and production teams

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role
Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience working with industrial machinery (CNC, drives, etc.)
Background in fenestration (windows/doors manufacturing) is advantageous but not essential
Time-served engineers welcome - formal qualifications are not required

Training & Development

Comprehensive training will be provided
Opportunities for progression will depend on business growth over the next 12 months

Reporting Structure

Reports directly to the Engineering Manager

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

40 hours per week
Afters shift pattern:
Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Friday: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £39,520 per annum
Overtime / shift allowance: Not applicable
Pension: NEST scheme
Health: Health scheme provided
Holidays: 20 days + 8 bank holidays
