Job Description\nMulti-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing) Permanent Nights OR Late Shift Option Available\n\n\nWe're working with a well-established manufacturing business seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served engineer who enjoys a practical role and wants long-term stability with training and progression.\n\nThe Role\nYou'll play a key role in maintaining and improving site performance, ensuring production runs efficiently across cooking, production, and packing operations.\nKey responsibilities include:\n

\n Communicating effectively with the engineering team and wider site via shift logs and email \n

Accurately recording plant data and readings, including industrial refrigeration systems \n

Carrying out essential repairs and adjustments to minimise downtime \n

Using planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems \n

Supporting a culture of continuous improvement across the site \n

Working across a wide range of systems including: \n

\n Pneumatics & hydraulics \n

Steam systems \n

Three-phase electrics, inverters & PLCs \n

Compressed air \n

Industrial refrigeration \n

Mechanical components (e.g. bearings) \n

\nAbout You\n

\n Electrically qualified (apprenticeship or time-served background ) \n

Strong practical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment \n

A "traditional" hands-on engineer with fault-finding ability \n

Comfortable working across both electrical and mechanical systems \n

Experience is valued over specific equipment knowledge - full training provided where needed \n

\nShift Options\n

\n Permanent Nights: \n

\n Sunday: 8:00pm - 5:00am \n

Monday-Thursday: 8:45pm - 5:00am \n

\n Late Shift Option: \n

\n 1:00pm - 9:00pm \n

\n

\nPackage\n

\n \nSalary: up to £55,200 for Perm nights up to £48k for Perm afters \n \n

Overtime / shift allowance available \n

Pension: 3% employee / 5% employer (NEST) \n

Life assurance: 2x salary \n

30 days holiday + Christmas shutdown (Christmas Eve, Day, Boxing Day & New Year's Day) \n

Business operates across bank holidays (reflected in holiday allowance) \n

Weekend work is minimal outside peak (April-December) \n

On-call (April-December): £50 call-out (paid regardless of attendance) \n
