Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Blackpool (Site-Based)
Salary: Circa £52,500
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing site in Blackpool. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established engineering team within a business that continues to invest in its people, processes, and technology.
The Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production equipment across the site. Working in a 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights), you’ll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of automated production machinery
Diagnose faults and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs efficiently
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance
Work collaboratively with production teams to reduce downtime and improve output
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and site standards
Contribute to root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
About You:
Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience working with automated or high-speed machinery is desirable
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
Proactive approach with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement
Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
