Job Title: Multi-skilled Engineering Technician

Location: Doncaster

Pay Range/details: Competitive salary + shift allowance + overtime premiums

We are recruiting for a Multi-skilled Engineering Technician required to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting production through effective maintenance and engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities - Multi-skilled Engineering Technician

Carry out day to day engineering and maintenance activities across production facilities
Ensure maximum plant availability through fault finding diagnosis and repair of equipment including conveyors elevators form fill and seal machines and palletisers
Support both planned and reactive maintenance to maximise operational efficiency
Maintain electrical plant equipment and control systems including PLC and SCADA
Assist with planned maintenance schedules including shutdown activities
Install and commission new plant equipment including electrical and mechanical systems
Work with pneumatics hydraulics and fabrication as required
Communicate maintenance activities effectively with production and engineering teams
Follow safe systems of work and comply with all health safety and environmental policies

Qualifications & Requirements - Multi-skilled Engineering Technician

Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification such as BTEC ONC or similar
17th Edition Regulations Certificate or equivalent
Proven experience in engineering maintenance within a production or manufacturing environment
Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair skills
Experience working with PLC and SCADA systems
Experience using preventive maintenance systems and CMMS
Background in FMCG or high volume manufacturing environments
Experience with high speed packaging equipment and robotics systems
Knowledge of pneumatics hydraulics and control systems
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles such as TPM 5S and Six Sigma
