Job Description
School Maintenance Technician\n\nMultiple Sites - Nottingham City, South Nottinghamshire & Leicester\n£26,013 - £28,138 per annum\nPermanent | 37.5 hours per week\n\nWe are working with a specialist education provider to recruit a Maintenance Technician to support multiple learning sites across the East Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring safe, well-maintained environments where children and people can thrive.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Multi-Site Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining buildings and grounds to a high standard, ensuring they remain safe, secure and fit for purpose.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nCarrying out general repairs, decorating and planned maintenance\n\nMaintaining fixtures, fittings, equipment and building fabric\n\nMonitoring systems including heating, ventilation and lighting\n\nManaging site security (opening/closing buildings, alarm checks)\n\nKeeping outdoor areas clean, safe and hazard-free\n\nSupporting statutory compliance (e.g. fire alarms, emergency lighting, PAT testing)\n\nHandling portering duties, deliveries, room setups and waste management\n\nResponding to maintenance issues and emergencies promptly\n\nDriving company vehicles, including minibuses, when required\n\nAbout You\n\nWe're looking for a hands-on, proactive individual who takes pride in their work.\n\nYou will have:\n\nPractical maintenance skills (basic joinery, plumbing, electrical work)\n\nA good understanding of Health & Safety regulations\n\nThe ability to work independently across multiple sites\n\nA flexible, can-do approach with strong problem-solving skills\n\nA full UK driving licence (essential)\n\nAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPENCER CLARKE GROUP\n\nAll applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy.\n\nYour CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained.\nYou must have legal right to work in the UK.\nYou must be willing to attend a registration interview.All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
