Busy independent garage specialising in Land Rover, VW Group, BMW,Merc and other prestige vehicles is looking for a dependable, experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team.

This role is ideal for an experienced technician from either a main dealer or independent garage who wants a better work-life balance and varied, hands-on mechanical work.

Hours

* Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm * Saturday overtime available (optional) * Closed between Christmas & New Year

The Role

You will carry out a wide range of mechanical repairs and servicing to a high standard, including:

* Routine servicing & maintenance * Brakes, suspension & steering work * Clutches & timing belts/chains * Engine & turbo repairs * Vehicle health checks * Basic diagnostics required. Advanced diagnostic work available for the right candidate, including ECU programming/remapping and DPF/AdBlue system diagnosis and repair * Mot testing (MOT licence not essential — *training can be provided for the right candidate)*

* Experienced technician able to work independently * Confident carrying out servicing and mechanical repairs to a high standard * Produces neat, accurate work with attention to detail * Reliable, professional and takes pride in the job * Able to manage workload and complete jobs efficiently * Main dealer or independent experience welcome
