Our client, a reputable and well-established Service Centre in Newton Aycliffe, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for automotive professionals with a valid MOT Licence and mechanical expertise to work within a respected company with a long-standing community presence.
Benefits as an MOT Technician:
- Competitive basic salary of up to £32,000
- OTE earnings of up to £38,000
- Working hours from 8:30AM to 5:30PM, Monday to Friday
- No weekend work
- 22 days holiday annually

- Perform MOT tests to DVSA standards
- Conduct vehicle repairs and servicing in line with manufacturer requirements, utilising your skills as an MOT Technician
- Inspect vehicles for wear, tears, and faults, ensuring high standards
- Deliver excellent customer service and technical advice
- Handle all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, utilising the latest tools and technology
- Support the team by working efficiently both independently and collaboratively
- Valid MOT licence essential for the role of MOT Technician
- At least an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification within Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Ability to complete work to high standards as an MOT Technician
- Work well independently or within a team environment
- A full UK Driving Licence
- Mechanical skills sufficient to undertake servicing and repairs
