Were looking for two Mobile Mechanical Fitters (Trainee & Experienced) to join a growing, employee-owned engineering company based in Lancashire!

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a business that has doubled its turnover from £4m to £9m in the last 4 years, with ongoing investment in modern equipment, facilities, and new product development.

This is a field-based role covering Lancashire, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and surrounding areas. Youll be carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, and mechanical repairs on a range of plant and machinery. Most of the work is PPM and calibration-based, with some reactive support.

Occasional overnight stays (typically 12 per fortnight) are required, with all expenses fully covered.

Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for experienced engineers or those looking to develop into the role.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be Doing

  • Carry out on-site service, maintenance, and repair of plant and machinery
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
  • Carry out equipment calibrations and adjustments
  • Support occasional reactive breakdown work
  • Complete job records and service reports
  • Provide professional support and advice to customers
  • Work safely and in line with health & safety standards
  • Be flexible with travel requirements

Hours

Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm

Pay

Trainee:£30,000 - £34,000 per annum
Experienced:£36,000 - £38,000 per annum

Overtime available, with additional allowances realistic total earnings up to £45,000

Salary progression based on performance and development

Skills/Experience Required

  • Experience working in a mechanical role (e.g. plant, agricultural, HGV, or machinery)
  • Strong mechanical skills and fault-finding ability
  • Willingness to learn and develop (training provided)
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Good communication and customer service skills
