An excellent opportunity has arisen at Bodens Group for a qualified mobile HGV Technician to join our team at Astley. The position is Monday to Friday with weekend work as required. Basic hours are 45 hours per week. Salary negotiable on experience.

The position itself is to provide breakdown cover and call outs for our fleet of vehicles, this includes working in the workshop at our Astley depot when not out on the road.

*Key Roles:*

Monday to Friday

* To repair company vehicles & trailers in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current regulations * Contributing to good housekeeping routines to meet Health & Safety requirements * Ensuring that all jobs are completed correctly and deadlines are met * Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly * Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary * To communicate effectively with the Transport Manager * Flexibility for shift patterns * Company van issued, must have own tools. * Company phone available.

*Skills:*

* Good interpersonal and communication skills * Basic level of numeracy and literacy, in order to complete work documentation * C+E Entitlement on licence preferred but not essential * All mandatory VOSA Inspections and MOT Preparations * Fault diagnosis and repair * Stripping, fitting and replacing components * Scania and Volvo experience preferred. * Should be self motivated with initiative. * To work in a productive workshop on our own fleet of vehicles and trailers. * Working on a three shift system on days * experience working as a mobile mechanic.
