General Maintenance Operative Bromley £31,500BriefGeneral Maintenance Operative needed for a large well known Facilities Management organisation based in Bromley who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded General Maintenance Operative that takes pride in their work.The successful candidate will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Fabric and limited Engineering Assets, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications processes and procedures. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities.BenefitsSalary: £31,500 per annum24 day's holidayPension PlanCareer ProgressionWhat the role entails:Some of the main duties of the General Maintenance Operative will include:Activities will include but not limited to:Inspect/repair floor, walls, ceilings and roofsInspect /repair free standing and fitted furnitureInspect/clear drainage and gully systemsInspect/replace lamps / tubesInspect/repair doors (Inc. Fire Doors), windows and associated furniture.Legionella duties - tap temps and flushingPainting, re-decorating and hanging of pictures/signed/noticesPlantroom inspections and AHU filter changesReactive repairs and initial attendance for toilets, leaks and blockagesAssist engineering staff in a wide range of duties as requiredCarry out reactive / Ad-Hoc activities - being the first response on site, and where appropriate taking immediate action to make safeBasic general grounds maintenance tasksWhat experience you need to be the successful General Maintenance Operative:Demonstrable experience in either carpentry, painting, plumbing or flooring in a construction, repair or maintenance environment.Good knowledge of Fire Door maintenance and inspection techniques.Understanding of Legionella control techniques e.g. tap flushingQualifications:Desirable to have an NVQ (or similar) in one of the below -PlumbingCarpentryDecorating servicesThis really is a fantastic opportunity for a General Maintenance Operative to progress their career.
