Mobile Electrician - Travel Required\n\nWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team in a full-time, permanent role. This is a mobile position, requiring travel across the West & East Midlands and occasionally wider UK locations. The successful candidate will carry out a mix of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and electrical installations across both commercial and domestic properties.\n\nJob Type: Permanent, Full-Time\n Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)\n Salary: £37,000 - £40,000\n Checks Required: Enhanced DBS & employment references\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out Planned & Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites\nComplete electrical installations in commercial and domestic environments\nPerform EICR testing, 1 & 3 phase power installations, and LED lighting upgrades\nAttend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and complete repairs efficiently\nProvide accurate assessments when additional works are required\nCommunicate clearly with customers when follow-up visits are needed\nEnsure all tasks comply with current electrical codes, standards, and site rules\nMaintain a cost-effective approach when sourcing materials\nKeep all mandatory training and competencies up to date\nComplete all job-related documentation accurately and promptly\nMaintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a safe and clean standard\nSupport management and liaise with clients to ensure work is completed correctly\nActively identify additional work opportunities when appropriate\nParticipate in the emergency call-out rota (1 in 6-8 weeks) \n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nMinimum 5 years' industry experience in electrical installations\nStrong electrical knowledge across both domestic and commercial settings\nExcellent understanding of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)\nExperience with electrical testing and inspection\nStrong understanding of Health & Safety and safe-working methods\nSelf-motivated, detail-focused, and able to work independently or in a team\nFlexible to travel to multiple sites and undertake overtime when required\nAble to communicate effectively with customers, tenants, and colleagues\nFull clean UK driving licence \n\nEssential Qualifications\n\nCity & Guilds Level 3 - Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018)\nCity & Guilds 2391 / 2391-52 - Testing & Inspection \n\nBenefits Package\n\nSalary review upon completion of probation\nPaid door-to-door (minus 30 min travel + 1 hr lunch per day)\nOvertime paid at time and a half\nCall-out rota: £100 standby, £40 for first hour attended, remaining time at time and a half\n23 days annual leave + bank holidays\nNEST pension scheme\nCompany health cover (Vitality)\nCompany vehicle with fuel card & M6 Tag\nCompany phone & expense card\nPower tools provided\nCorporate clothing, PPE, and boot allowancePlease apply by sending your CV or call on (phone number removed)
