4 DAY WORKING WEEK (Mon-Thurs) At Saddlers Court we are an ambitious, family-owned business operating with a small, friendly team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We produce mild steel components, ranging from machined forgings to heavy fabricated products for a range of global customers. Hours of Work We operate on a 40-hour working week, 07:00 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday, although there is scope for flexibility in those hours of work. Overtime is readily available most weeks as our workload continuously increases. There are also night shift (18:00 to 06:00 Monday to Wednesday, 18:00 till 23:30 Thursday) and piece work positions available. Responsibilities and Duties For this role you will be welding a range of mild steel products weighing from 12KGs up to 750KG. Most products are repeat jobs but due to the size and nature of the product there are some longer running jobs up to 6 hours at a time. Due to the size of product, there would be requirement to use lifting equipment such as overhead craneage, experience of this is desirable but in-house training can be provided where required. Health and Safety is the most important thing in manufacturing, and we provide all required P.P.E. for our employees. Quality is essential in our business so consistency and having pride in your work is important whilst ensuring production targets are met. We operate on with a 10-minute morning break (paid) and a 30-minute lunch break (unpaid) and coffee and tea are provided. Qualifications and skills To be successful in this role we would require you to be able to: · Have M.I.G. welding experience · Be able to complete single run butt welds · Be able to complete single run fillet welds · Be able to complete multi-run fillet welds (desirable) · Successful candidates will have a level of in-house training · There are future possibilities to become coded depending on skill level and time within the business Salary This role is hourly paid, day shift position at £14.00 to £15.00 per hour depending on ability. There are also nightshift (shift allowance of time and a third) available if this is more suitable to your personal requirements
