Role – Welder and Fabricator role
Location – Close to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours
Capacity of role – Temporary to permanent position
Pay rate – Up to £19.50 per hour
Our client is a leading manufacturer and is looking for a welder and fabricator to join their busy manufacturing team.
Candidates will need to be proficient with MIG welding practises and will be used to working with mid to heavy gauge materials.
Main duties will include –
Fabricating duties - working from engineering drawings
Welding working on mild steel
Adjust welding techniques based on the thickness and type of material being welded.
Use tools like micrometers, calipers, and weld gauges to check weld accuracy and quality.
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or cutting them before welding to ensure strong bonds.
Candidate attributes –
Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficiency in MIG welding methods,
Own transport is essential due to the location
