Join our team today.Join our team as a Metering Surveyor, working in and around the Bristol area. Joining us on a full-time basis, you'll receive a salary of £27,566 - £30,344 depending on experience, with a range of company benefits.In this role, you'll play a big part in enabling our customers to monitor their water consumption and spending, as part of our free water meter offering. You'll be out and about in the local community carrying out site surveys (both internal and external) and installing water meters.What you'll be doing:Visiting customer premises to survey water supply and assess appropriate locations to fit a meter.Engaging with customers.Fitting water meters in existing stop-tap boxes.Carrying out water supply route checks.Tracing underground pipes and utilities.Using mobile technology to accurately record job information.Providing assistance, advice and accurate information to Network Maintenance contractors.Attending team meetings as necessary.What we're looking for:A full UK driving licence.Computer literate - familiar with basic software packages.A good understanding of customer service.The ability and confidence to work on your own initiative, but also as part of a team.Effective communication skills.Willingness to undertake in-house training.Confidence to make decisions in order to complete tasks with a methodical approach.DesirableWater Hygiene and NRSWA units 1 and 2An understanding of risk assessments, such as working in the highway and hazardous items.What's in it for you:Generous annual leave, with the option to buy and sell to offer more flexibility.Access to thousands of discounts and vouchers as part of Pennon Perks.Employee share scheme.Employee assistance programme, with access to 24/7 support.Cycle to work scheme - access discounts an savings on bicycles and equipment.Closing Date: 6th May 2026We may close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications.
