At Adapt-Ed, we build support around the individual and help them feel safe, understood and able to move forward.

We’re looking for self-employed Mentors in Coventry to deliver consistent, 1:1 support for young people aged 10–18 with additional needs.

What this role is about

This is a relationship-led role.

You’ll work 1:1 with a young person, becoming a consistent and positive influence in their week. Someone they trust, rely on and engage with.

Your role is to help them:

• Build confidence
• Develop routine
• Stay engaged
• Experience progress in a way that works for them

What you’ll be doing

• Building strong, professional relationships with young people
• Supporting confidence, motivation and daily structure
• Encouraging engagement in sessions and activities
• Providing a calm and consistent presence
• Helping young people regulate and reset when needed
• Working with our team to track progress and outcomes

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years experience supporting young people
• (mentoring, youth work, education, SEN, coaching or similar)
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
