At Adapt-Ed, we build support around the individual and help them feel safe, understood and able to move forward.
We’re looking for self-employed Mentors in Coventry to deliver consistent, 1:1 support for young people aged 10–18 with additional needs.
What this role is about
This is a relationship-led role.
You’ll work 1:1 with a young person, becoming a consistent and positive influence in their week. Someone they trust, rely on and engage with.
Your role is to help them:
- Build confidence
- Develop routine
- Stay engaged
- Experience progress in a way that works for them
What you’ll be doing
- Building strong, professional relationships with young people
- Supporting confidence, motivation and daily structure
- Encouraging engagement in sessions and activities
- Providing a calm and consistent presence
- Helping young people regulate and reset when needed
- Working with our team to track progress and outcomes

Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years experience supporting young people
- (mentoring, youth work, education, SEN, coaching or similar)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
