Location: North West England

Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + car allowance + bonus

The Opportunity

I am currently working with a well-established civil engineering and infrastructure business to recruit a MEICA Manager to support a strong pipeline of work across the North West.

This is a key role within the business, where you will take ownership of all Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) elements across major water and infrastructure projects.

If you enjoy leading delivery, influencing projects, and taking systems from design through to commissioning, this is a strong opportunity to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead MEICA delivery across multiple projects

Coordinate design, procurement, installation, and commissioning

Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers

Ensure compliance with industry standards and health and safety requirements

Provide technical support to project teams

Drive programme, cost, and quality performance

Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders

Requirements

Strong background in MEICA within water, utilities, or infrastructure

Experience in a MEICA Manager, Senior Engineer, or Project Engineer role

Good understanding of pumping systems, electrical installations, and control systems (PLC/SCADA)

Proven ability to manage subcontractors and deliver to programme

Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets

Strong communication and leadership skills

Desirable

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree)

Relevant professional accreditation or working towards

SMSTS or CSCS
