I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for a Mechanical Technician to join their engineering team at a specialist industrial facility in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.

The successful candidate will work as part of a close-knit engineering team, carrying out maintenance and repair activities across a range of plant equipment and site assets.

This position would be well suited to an ex military engineer with a mechanical bias who is looking for long term stability and the opportunity to broaden their experience.

Mechanical Technician Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across plant and site equipment.

Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.

Support ongoing improvements to equipment performance and reliability.

Assist with maintenance planning and coordination of works.

Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.

Work closely with internal teams and external contractors where required.

Mechanical Technician Requirements: Hold a relevant engineering qualification or be a time served engineer.

Strong mechanical engineering skills with the ability to fault find and repair equipment.

Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Self-motivated with a proactive and hands on approach.

Willing to participate in an on-call rota 1 in every 4 weeks.

Mechanical Technician Benefits: Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience.

Callout allowance
- £460 per week on call.

Monday to Friday 7.30am 4.30pm.

25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Pension scheme.
